How did this happen? Here’s a little about me, myself and I:

I am a self-taught artist from the United States, and am currently living in the State of Arkansas. Most of my inspiration is drawn from nature, as well as the strange and mysterious. I enjoy exploring new styles when creating interesting landscapes, patterns, unusual creatures; many times with splashes of humor.

After a solo trip to the Black Hills in South Dakota, I reevaluated my life choices and thought about how I’d always wanted to be an artist. The classic idea of a painter was always in the forefront of my mind… well that or a cartoonist, but either one would be fine with me. I was exposed to lots of Bob Ross television episodes as well as a few documentaries about animation early on. Not long after my trip, I finally ended my career as a CAD drafter, and my new career as an artist began.

Being a fan of paranormal subjects like ufo’s, ghosts, cryptids and thing of that nature, it was inevitable that I would find my way to painting things like Bigfoot, goblins, aliens, and many others. I continue to receive great feedback and encouragement from fans of my strange artwork, so I will most likely continue creating these types of art pieces.

And as they say, “the rest is history”. So ends the brief history about Charles Guthrie and bigfoot art.
